Former Super Eagles defender, Ifeanyi Udeze has backed the list of players released by the Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Portuguese gaffer released the list of players that will confront Saudi Arabia and Mozambique in the double-header international friendly games.

One of three invited goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke, was the only home-based player in the team and the decision has generated a lot of controversies among the football stakeholders.

“When did the league (Nigeria Premier Football League) start?

“For these friendly games, I don’t agree that more home-based players should have been invited. Maybe in future games but not these upcoming ones.

“They don’t have anything to do with these friendlies", he told Brila FM radio.

The international friendly games are slated to take place in Portugal.
