Despite losing his first game in charge, newly appointed Super Eagles coach Jose Paseiro has appeared satisfied with the performance of the team, BSNsports.com.ng report
Nigeria suffered a 2-1 defeat to the El Tri of Mexico in the international friendly in the early hours of Sunday at the Red Bull Stadium in Dallas.
The Portuguese gaffer during a post-match reaction said he wasn't happy with the outcome of the game but was happy with the player's performance especially in the second half.
“In the first half Mexico was much better than us but in the second half, I think we had more balance.
“I am not happy that we lost but I’m happy with the performance of my players because they showed character, especially after what Mexico did in the first half. I think in the second half there was an improvement," he said
Paseiro will hope to record his first win in charge of the team when they face Ecuador in another friendly on Thursday.
