International Friendly: Jordan Hold Costa Rica, Send Warning Signal To Nigeria

Sampson Adedeji

Jordan sent a strong warning signal to Nigeria’s Super Eagles after coming from two goals down to secure a thrilling 2-2 draw against Costa Rica in an international friendly, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The World Cup-bound Jordanians showed resilience and character as they rallied back from a 2-0 deficit against the North American side to earn a share of the spoils in an entertaining encounter.

Costa Rica had taken firm control of the game with a two-goal advantage, but Jordan responded with determination, mounting a spirited comeback to level proceedings before the final whistle.

The result serves as a timely boost for Jordan ahead of their next fixture, where they will face the Super Eagles in their second friendly game scheduled for Tuesday.

Nigeria heads into the clash on the back of a 2-1 victory over Iran and will be wary of the threat posed by a confident Jordanian side capable of fighting back under pressure.
