International Friendly: Moses Simon Blames Ref For Eagles Defeat Against Algeria

Nigeria's Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has blamed the centre referee for the outcome of the game against Algeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite scoring the opening goal, Super Eagles succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to the Desert Foxes of Algeria in Oran.

In a short video interview on Twitter, the FC Nantes faulted the referee's decision throughout the game.

“The game did not go the way we planned it. But it’s part of the job because we learn every day. And I believe we will pick a lot from it.

“We all know that the referee did not give us justice. But then the coach said we should forget about it and keep fighting.

"We just need to encourage and motivate ourselves because we play for pride, we play for our family and Nigerians. I believe we did our best but it did not go as planned", he said.

Simon wore the armband as the team captain in Oran in the absence of Ahmed Musa and William Troost Ekong.
