International Friendly: Okoye Joins Super Eagles Camp

By Sampson Adedeji

Ahead of the international friendly games against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique, another goalkeeper has been added to the Super Eagles team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

As of Wednesday morning 20 players were already in camp with Francis Uzoho being the only goalkeeper among them while the duo of Ojo Oloirunleke and Adebayo Adeleye are still being expected.

According to the update coming from the team camp in Faro Portugal, Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has joined the team and no reason was stated for his sudden invitation.

Okoye has been an integral part of the team under the former coach Gernot Rohr but has been out of the team since the arrival of Jose Peseiro due to loss of form and lack of regular action with his club.

The young goalkeeper joined the Italian Serie A side Udinese this summer from the English championship side Watford FC.
