International Friendly: Okoye Ruled Out Of Jordan Clash

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will be without first-choice goalkeeper Maduka Okoye when they take on Jordan in their second international friendly on Tuesday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Udinese Calcio shot-stopper has been ruled out of the encounter after sustaining an injury in training.

Okoye was in action during Nigeria’s opening friendly against Iran, where the Super Eagles secured a 2-1 victory with a solid performance between the sticks.

However, updates from the team’s camp confirmed that the goalkeeper picked up a thigh knock during a training session and will not be available for selection against Jordan.

His absence presents an opportunity for other goalkeepers in the squad to step in as Nigeria aim to maintain momentum ahead of upcoming competitive fixtures.
