Despite suffering a defeat to Mexico, Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick has expressed confidence in the ability of the newly appointed coach Jose Paseiro, BSNsports.com.ng gathered

The Portuguese manager was appointed few weeks back to take charge of the team ahead of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Pinnick seems to be elated with the team display and expressed confidence in the coaching skill of Paseiro.

" I like what I saw today and I have confidence that we have appointed the right coach that can restore the glory of the Super Eagles and make them start winning once more,â€ Pinnick said.

Paseiro's first competitive game will be against Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in the AFCON 2023 qualifier.
