The hope of Remo Stars defender Issa Ali to represent Nigeria's Super Eagles has finally suffered a big blow after he was dropped due to match-fixing scandal, BSNsports.com.ng can report



Match-fixing scandal rocked Ghana's premier league in July 2021 and it involved Ashanti Gold and Inter Allies.


World soccer governing stepped in since that time and came out with a verdict, demoting the clubs involved and players were well sanctioned and Ali and other players were slammed with a 2-year ban.


Due to his amazing performance for the newly promoted Remo Stars this season Ali was handed an invitation to the Super Eagles for the upcoming International friendly matches against Ecuador and Mexico.


According to the report coming from the football body in Nigeria, Ali has been dropped from the team after Ghana Football Association communicated the decision to them.
