Iorfa Bids Farewell To Lobi Stars As Vice Chairman

Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (VC/CEO) of Lobi Stars FC Makurdi, Dominic Iorfa has sent a goodwill message to the Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr Hyacinth Alia PhD, and other football stakeholders in the state in the aftermath of the dissolution of his led management by the state government, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The ex-international expressed special thanks to the government and good people of the state for the opportunity to serve in his second coming to the club, which brought the club back to reckoning. "Let me, on behalf of my humble self, my family, and the entire management of Lobi Stars FC, appreciate our sports-loving Governor, His Excellency Rev. Fr Hyacinth Alia, PhD, for the confidence and trust he reposed on me despite some mounted pressures. "My sincere appreciation also goes to my immediate boss, His Excellency, the Deputy Governor, the Speaker, and all the Principal Officers of the government who supported us in different capacities. "Let me also humbly thank the good people of the state, my players, officials, supporters, and fans of the club, for their wonderful show of love and cooperation during the period. "I must say that my second coming was a unanimous decision by the people for me to come and rescue the club from the mud of relegation, which by the special grace of God we succeeded, thereafter we consolidated the team to finish amongst the top best 5 in the league despite playing all our matches away from home. "This coming season, we have made adequate preparation for the league by first winning the Gusau/Ahlan Preseason tournament in Jos and were set for the league opening game against Akwa United FC before our dissolution. "Going forward, I wish to urge all the players, officials, supporters, and fans of the club to continue in a much stronger way to give the team their full support to excel. "For me as an individual, Lobi Stars made me, and I have also made sacrifices for the progress of Lobi Stars, of which history will continue to bear witness. "My next move is to have a rest for now and continue to support Lobi Stars in spirit."
