Isaac Feels Optimistic, Says Remo Stars Will Challenge For NPFL Title

Remo Stars forward, Isaac James has expressed optimism over Remo Stars' hopes of challenging for the league title, ahead of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The forward, featured for Remo Stars as they got knocked out from the CAF Champions League preliminary first round by Ghanaian side Medema FC a week ago.
While speaking in an exclusive interview, with BSNSports.com.ng, on Monday, Isaac revealed that he feels good and that it is going to be a great season.
"I'm optimistic about the new season, and what it brings, I know that it is going to be a great season for us," Isaac said.
The Benue-born forward also praised Rivers United, ahead of Remo Stars Matchday 1 with the Stanley Eguma-led side, saying they are one of the big teams in the league.
"Rivers United are a good team, and they have been busy in the transfer market.
"But, trust me we are not compromising on getting our maximum three points in Port Harcourt next weekend," He explained.
Isaac also expressed difficulties playing away from home in the first game of the season but says that the team will cope with the challenges.
"I think the only thing about playing away from home is not getting your 12th Man behind you, which is our lovely fans.
"Nevertheless we know that they will be with us no matter where we are playing, Home or Away, "Isaac concludes.
Remo Stars will be expected to challenge the likes of Enyimba, Remo Stars, Rangers, Akwa United, and Lobi Stars for the league title, when the 2023/24 NPFL season, kicks off this weekend.
