Rivers United striker, Ishaq Rafiu has considered the opportunity to represent Nigeria as a dream come true, BSNsports.com.ng understands.


Since the start of the season, Ishaq has been a revelation in the Nigeria Professional Football League for the Rivers State-based club.


His performance for the Pride of Rivers earned a place in the Super Eagles for the international friendly games against Mexico and Ecuador.


Despite the omission of his name from the team that will confront Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principle the left-footed striker still considered the chance as a dream come true.


"It was indeed a dream come through to represent Nigeria with lots of memories that will remain evergreen.


"Now, it’s time to focus on the LMCNPFL and finished the good job we have started with Rivers United and chase the top scorer’s gong. #WeAreRiversUnited," he said


Ishaq is currently the top scorer in the league with 14 goals.
