Ishaq Rafiu Delighted With His Debut For Maribor
Nigeria International Ishaq Rafiu has expressed his excitement following his debut for Slovenian side NK Maribor, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The lanky attacker joined the Slovenian club this summer after a successful outing with the Nigeria Professional Football League champions Rivers United.
He has been training with the team for almost a month but he finally made his competitive debut against FK Olimpija on Sunday.
Rafiu was introduced late in the game and Maribor lost the match by a lone goal.
"I’m happy in a way to make my debut with my new team because I have been waiting for this moment.
" It would have been a special moment for me if we had won or drawn the game but we go again next time", he said.

Injured Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Peter Etebo has finally recovered from the injury that has kept him out for quite some time, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Former Warri Wolves player joined the Greek Premier League club Aris FC this summer from the English Championship side Stoke City.
Aris FC under new manager Alan Pardew has been having a torrid time and has also lost back-to-back games.
They played host to Ionian FC on Sunday with Etebo in the starting lineup, and they were able to record a 2-1 victory.
