Bryan Heynen has given an update on his knee injury after suffering a serious collision with Super Eagles and Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

Club Brugge suffered a shocking 3-1 loss to Genk at the Jan Breydel on Sunday, with Heynen forced to leave the game halfway through the second half.

Heynen who left the field with tears in his eyes, gave a sign of how serious the knee injury was, suggesting the worst.

He told Het Belang van Limburg. "Our knees clashed. I felt a kind of electric shock," said the midfielder.

"I tried after that, but when I couldn't jump into a duel I knew it was over. My emotional reaction wasn't because of the pain, but because I couldn't help the team in such an important game.

The injury, which is located at the attachment of the knee, seems to be not too bad."

This further put it into perspective reassuring news to fans of Genk, but whether he will therefore be available on Sunday remains to be seen.
