Italian Serie A: Atalanta Boss Heap Praises On Super Eagles Winger

The manager of Italian Serie A side Atalanta Gian Piero Gasperini has praised Nigeria's Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman following his excellent mid-week display against Sporting Portugal in the Europa League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite not scoring, Lookman made three key passes, had a pass accuracy of 85%, created a big chance, had 2 shots and blocked 3 against his opponents. 

Gasperini praised his performance and tagged it one of his best this season

 â€œLookman perhaps played the best match of the season and also one of the best if we consider last year.”

He's been in a lot of dangerous situations and I see him growing, but I don't know if he can repeat last year's goals. Lookman is important", he said.

The Nigerian forward scored 15 goals and provided 8 assists in 33 matches in all competitions, including 13 goals in Serie A last season.
