Italian Serie B: Why I Remove Okereke Against Como- Cremonese Coach

The coach of Italian Serie B side US Cremonese Giovanni Stroppa has revealed the reason he substituted Nigerian forward David Okereke, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Cremonese is working its way towards securing a promotion back to the Serie A after suffering relegation last season
They played away to Como on Sunday and secured a 1-3 away win with the former Nigeria U23 star shining like a million stars.
He scored the second goal for Cremonese but the team manager still subbed him off to the surprise of the team's fans.
Why speaking about the game, Stroppa said he did that simply for precautionary measure.
"Everything, we had different characteristics compared to a few races ago.
Okereke allowed us to widen the opponent and has inspiration and verticality, he played because he is well and I took him off due to a contracture and to avoid losing him for another few weeks", he said.
Former Club Brugge attacker was on the verge of joining Turkish Super Lig giant Besiktas until the deal collapsed due to the financial issues.
