Fulham FC secured a comfortable 3-1 away victory over Sunderland AFC on Sunday, with Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi delivering a standout performance, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Fulham took the lead through Raúl Jiménez after being set up by Iwobi, who dictated the tempo in midfield and consistently troubled the hosts’ defence.

Jiménez doubled the advantage to put the visitors firmly in control before Sunderland pulled one back from the penalty spot.

The spot-kick was awarded after Nigerian defender Calvin Bassey was adjudged to have fouled an attacker inside the box, allowing Enzo Le Fée to reduce the deficit.

However, Iwobi capped off an impressive display by netting Fulham’s third goal late in the game to seal maximum points for the London side.

The victory strengthens Fulham’s position on the table as they continue their push in the league campaign.
