Super Eagles left-back Jamilu Collins is preparing to bid farewell to German 2. Bundesliga club SC Paderborn 07, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Paderborn Managing Director Fabian Wohlgemuth has confirmed that Collins will be moving on to pastures new in the summer.
Collins signed a new one-year SC Paderborn contract last year and the 27-year-old has entered the final two months of the deal with Paderborn and, has turned down the club’s offer of a new contract.
Following his inability to break into the Croatian top-flight side’s main squad, he was loaned to NK Pomorac, Krka, Sibenik and Istra 1961.
Having completed his loan spells, he was snapped up by Paderborn on September 6, 2017 on a two-year contract following a successful trial with the then Liga Three side.
The Nigeria international helped Paderborn earn back-to-back promotions to reach the German Bundesliga in the 2019-2020 season.
He played a crucial role in the team’s promotion to the German elite division. He scored his first Bundesliga goal with a 35-yard shot in a 3-2 defeat to Bayern Munich.
