Judgement Day For Morocco, Senegal As CAF Appeal Committee Meets Tuesday

The Appeal Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is set to meet on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, to deliberate on several cases, including the dispute surrounding the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

CAF’s Disciplinary Committee had earlier delivered a ruling on the matter involving the final between Morocco and Senegal, but the Royal Moroccan Football Federation has formally lodged an appeal against the decision.

The Moroccan football governing body, led by its president Fouzi Lekjaa, is seeking a review of the verdict handed down by the disciplinary body.

The outcome of Tuesday’s meeting is expected to determine the final stance of CAF on the case and could have significant implications for both nations following the controversial conclusion of the tournament.
