Judo: Tunisia, Algeria To Host Nigeria, Other Africans In 2023

International Judo Federation has released the calendar for the year 2023 and North African countries will stage two major events early in the year, BSNSports.com.ng report.

According to the update from the IJF, Tunis the capital of Tunisia will open the year as they stage African open on March 11th and 12th.

Algerian capital, Algier will host the continent a week later March 18th and 19th in the International Open African Tournament.

 The Individual World Championships (seniors) have been slated to take place from May 7 to 14 in Doha (Qatar).

Another important date put forward by the IJF in the calendar for the 2023 season is that of the Test Event for the next Summer Olympics, scheduled for 2024 Paris, which will take place from August 29 to 30, 2023, also in the French capital. 

Nigeria is among the big African nations expected to take part in the events Tunisia and Algeria ahead of the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
