Jupiler League: Super Eagles Midfielder On Target In Brugge Defeat

Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder, Ralph Onyedika, was on the scoresheet on Saturday evening but could not prevent Club Brugge from suffering a 3-2 defeat to St. Truidense, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Onyedika opened the scoring for Club Brugge in the 16th minute, giving the visitors an early advantage.

However, St. Truidense responded strongly, with quick goals from Muja and Ito swinging the momentum in favour of the hosts.

Club Brugge fought back in the second half and were rewarded when Kaye Furo netted the equaliser in the 70th minute to make it 2-2.

Just when it seemed the visitors would leave with a point, Andres Ferr struck late to restore St. Truidense’s lead and seal the victory.

The result leaves Club Brugge with ground to make up in their Jupiler League title push, despite an encouraging individual display from the Nigerian midfielder.
