Kano Pillars Extend Lead As Lagos Teams Get Vital Victories 

Kano Pillars continue to wax stronger in their quest to retain their title as they got a vital win against Confluence Stars on day 6 of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League season 5 phase 2 in Lagos.

The defending champion easily defeated the Lokoja based Confluence Stars with comfortable 31-19 victory to continue their lead of the men category.

Lagos teams had a great day on court with Seasider Boys of Lagos defeated Police Machine 29-22 while Tojemarine Academy won Rima Strikers 33-25 to be in the top 5 of the league.

Second placed Safety Shooters, after suffering a painful defeat on day 5, bounced back with an emphatic 34-17 victory over 9th placed Benue Buffaloes while Niger United enjoyed a comfortable 29-19 victory over De Defenders.
