Karim Adeyemi Explains Decision To Represent Germany Over Nigeria

German international Karim Adeyemi, who was born in Germany to a Nigerian father and Romanian mother, has revealed why he chose to play for the German national team instead of Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Borussia Dortmund forward, who was eligible to represent three countries, shared his reasons in an interview with OmaSports.

“It’s a difficult question. I’ve had to explain this to my father many times,” said the former Red Bull Salzburg star.

“I received offers from the German Football Association and I had a good feeling about it. In the end, I decided to play for Germany — it was that simple.”

Adeyemi has already earned six caps with the German national team.
