Karim Adeyemi picks injury as Dortmund bottle Bundesliga Title

Karim Adeyemi lasted only forty minutes for Borussia Dortmund in their final league game against FSV Mainz 05, after picking up an early injury in an anti-climatic end to the 2022-23 campaign.

The 21-year-old Nigeria-born German has struggled to stay fit for his club this season suffering varying leg injuries, after picking up a toe injury at the start of the season in August, falling short to a foot injury in September, and a torn muscle fiber in February this year.

Cumulatively, Karim has missed ten games in all competitions this season for Dortmund, solely based on injuries, including sitting out five of Germany's six games at the 2022 UEFA Nations Cup between June and September 2022.

Dortmund came agonizingly close to clinching their first Bundesliga title in eleven years but lost out on the final day through a heart-wrenching 2-all draw against 9th-placed FSV Mainz 05.
