Katsina Utd Recruits 18 Homegrown Players From Screening Exercise

Ahead of their campaign in the Nigeria National League, the management of Katsina United has released names of 18 homegrown players scouted after scaling through the screening exercise recently conducted by the club, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

The names of the selected players emerged following the reports submitted by the Independent Screening Committee and that of the Technical Crew in which the names of the 18 players emerged in both reports.

Based on the findings by both committees, the player's selection was based on performance, resilience, discipline and sportsmanship during the just-concluded screening exercise.

The management revealed that all the cleared 18 players will undergo other engagement formalities as soon as other preparations are concluded.

Similarly, the management in the release acknowledged the support of Governor Aminu Bello Masari and the efforts of the State Sports Commissioner Dr Bishir Gambo Saulawa for their Assistance which contributes to the development of the club.

The management however assured to allow the cleared players by fully engaging them in the club activities for them to contribute towards the development of Katsina United and football in general.

As it added that the club will not tolerate indiscipline from the new players.
