Former Nigeria U17 captain, Kelechi Nwakali, has joined Barnsley FC, a third tier side in England, from Portuguese side, G.D Chaves, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 26-year-old midfielder signed a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee subject to visa & international clearance.

According to him, "I am very happy to sign for Barnsley Football Club. I spoke to Mladen and the Head Coach Darrell earlier in the summer and I knew that this was an exciting opportunity for me, I know I can bring a lot to the team."
