Kenya has inscribed their name in the FIFA Football history book after a thrilling 2 - 1 Victory over Mexico on Thursday morning, at the on - going 2024 FIFA U - 17 Women's World Cup in the Dominican Republic.

This win has marked the country's first ever triumph in a FIFA tournament, for either male or female teams, and come with their debut goals at this prestigeous level.

Kenya took the lead early in the match, with Valeria Nekesa scoring in the 15th minute.
