Kenya's Rising Stars Receive Presidential Send-Off Ahead Of AFCON Showdown with Flying Eagles

Kenya’s U20 national team, the Rising Stars, received a morale boost on Tuesday as President William Samoei Ruto paid them a visit ahead of their journey to Egypt for the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The team, who secured their spot by defeating Tanzania in the CECAFA U20 final last year, has been camping in Morocco in preparation for the tournament.

During his visit, President Ruto officially presented the national flag to the squad and encouraged them to make the country proud with their performance in Egypt.

Kenya will compete in a challenging group alongside Nigeria’s Flying Eagles, Tunisia, and Morocco.
