Kevina Akpukudu Rukuba Crowned Women’s 3000m National Champion at AFN Championships

 Kevina Akpukudu Rukuba delivered a commanding performance to win the women’s 3000m title at the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) National Championships, held at Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Rukuba crossed the finish line in 10:53.18, securing the gold medal and reaffirming her status as one of Nigeria’s top long-distance runners. Her teammate, Vivian Obadiah, followed closely with a time of 11:09.79 to claim the silver medal, sealing a 1-2 podium finish for Team Rivers.

The result highlights Team Rivers’ growing dominance in middle- and long-distance events at the national level, as they continue to produce standout athletes and consistent podium finishes.
