Konyaspor Sign Super Eagles Defender Chidozie Awaziem On Two-Year Contract

Turkish Super Lig club Konyaspor have completed the signing of Nigeria international defender Chidozie Awaziem on a two-year contract ahead of the new season, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The agreement was finalized during a signing ceremony held at the Konyaspor Museum inside the club's stadium, with Football Branch Manager Ali Camgöz present.

Awaziem joins Konyaspor with a wealth of experience, having started his professional career at Portuguese giants Porto before featuring for clubs including Nantes, Çaykur Rizespor, Leganés, Boavista, Alanyaspor, Hajduk Split, FC Cincinnati and Colorado Rapids.

The Super Eagles defender has been handed the number 15 jersey and is expected to bolster Konyaspor's defensive options with his experience and leadership.

In welcoming the Nigerian international, Konyaspor expressed confidence that Awaziem will make a significant contribution to the team as they prepare for the upcoming Turkish Super Lig campaign.
