Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Kun Khalifa have confirmed the departure of their captain, Chikamso Amaefula, alongside teammate Blessed Iyamu, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The club announced that both players are on the verge of completing moves to fellow NPFL outfit Rivers United ahead of the new season.

Amaefula, who captained Kun Khalifa during his time at the club, has been a key figure in the team's setup, while Iyamu also played an important role in the squad.
