Kun Khalifat Secures Historic Promotion As Warri Wolves Returns To NPFL

High-flying Kun Khalifat FC has secured a historic promotion ticket to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The Pride of Imo State defeated Osun United in the final showdown in the 2025 Nigeria National League, NNL, Super 8 playoffs in Ozoro, Delta State. 

Under the tutelage of Obinna Uzoho, the young warriors from the Eastern Heartland will slug it out in the upcoming campaign as the fourth private-owned club. 

Elsewhere, at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Warri Wolves staged a comeback to the elite league after beating Crown FC 2-1 to finish as group winners in the Southern Conference. 

Earlier, Wikki Tourists and newcomers, Barau FC secured the ticket to the NPFL from the Northern Conference.
