Kwara Sports Commission Dissolves All Associations

The Kwara State Sports Commission has announced the dissolution of all sports associations in the state with immediate effect, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday in Ilorin by the Press Secretary of the Commission, Saheed Abdullahi.
Although the Commission did not give detailed reasons for the decision, the dissolution is believed to be part of ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning sports administration and development across the state.
The statement added that fresh modalities for the reconstitution of the various associations would be communicated in due course.
The Kwara State Sports Commission is responsible for overseeing and regulating all sporting activities in the state. Its latest move is expected to pave the way for new leadership and strategies to drive grassroots sports growth and ensure better representation at regional and national competitions.
