Kwara United's Musa Afeez Bags ₦100k As MOTM In ValueJet Pre-season Cup Opener

Kwara United's defender - Musa Afeez won the Man of the Match award in the first game of the ValueJet pre-season tournament against Remo Stars while bagging ₦100 thousand monetary value alongside, bsnsports.com.ng reports.

Recall that the organizers of the tournament engaged Optimus Bank in a partnership/sponsorship deal for the pre-season event, including sponsoring the Man of the Match award with the monetary prize per winner.

The right-back shone brightly for his side for 90 minutes with an impressive showing through the right flank defensively and in attack which drew more accolades from fans on social media.

The sponsors, @OptimusBank, also took to their gadget to congratulate the Kwara United defender - "Big Congrats to Musa Afeez for winning the Man of the First Match. We can’t wait to announce more winners"

Remo and Kwara battled to a 1-all draw after 90 minutes to set the tone for the tournament with Heartland FC and Sporting Lagos clashing by 2 pm for the second encounter.

Goals from Ikenna Offor in the 42nd minute resulting from a fine cross from Musa Abdulafeez down the right for Kwara United, and Alimi Sikiru in the 57th minute with a cool strike from within the box to restore parity for Remo Stars, settled the case in Ikenne, Ogun State.
