The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) has unveiled a 14-player squad for the 2026 Kwibuka Women’s T20 International Tournament scheduled to hold in Rwanda from June 10 to 20, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Female Yellow Greens will head into the competition with renewed optimism as they prepare to face some of Africa’s top women’s cricket teams in the annual tournament, which commemorates the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.
Returning star Favour Eseigbe has been named captain of the squad, marking a significant comeback for the experienced player who is expected to provide leadership and stability to the team.
The tournament will offer Nigeria another opportunity to gain valuable international exposure and improve its standing in women’s cricket, while also serving as a platform for emerging talents to showcase their abilities on the continental stage.
The Female Yellow Greens have continued to make steady progress in recent years, and the coaching crew will be hoping the team can build on previous performances and challenge strongly for honours in Kigali.
Nigeria’s squad combines experienced campaigners with promising young players as the team targets a successful outing in Rwanda.
