Nigeria international forward Sadiq Umar was on target for Valencia in their 3-1 defeat to Deportivo La Coruna in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday evening, BSNSports.com.ng reports. ‎

‎Deportivo made a quick start to the encounter, with Cesar opening the scoring in the 12th minute before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang doubled the hosts’ advantage five minutes later. ‎ ‎

Sadiq pulled one back for Valencia in the 26th minute, giving the visitors hope of mounting a comeback before the break. ‎ ‎

However, Valencia were unable to find an equaliser as Deportivo remained in control after the interval. ‎

‎Mouctar Diakhaby sealed the victory for the hosts in the 59th minute as Deportivo secured all three points with a 3-1 win. ‎ ‎

Sadiq’s goal adds to his contribution for Valencia as he continues to play an important role in the club’s attacking department.
