La Liga: Sadiq Umar Rescues Point For Valencia

Nigerian forward Sadiq Umar came off the bench to earn Valencia a valuable 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday at the Estadio de Vallecas, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Valencia trailed at the break after Cesar Tarrega’s unfortunate own goal just before halftime.

Umar was brought on in the 66th minute, replacing Andre Almeida, and made an immediate impact.

The 27-year-old levelled the score with a clinical finish 16 minutes from time, marking his fifth goal in 10 La Liga appearances this season.

With the result, Carlos Corberán’s men extended their unbeaten run to seven league games—matching their longest streak since December 2021.
