Sevilla’s manager, Garcia Pimienta, remains hopeful that Nigerian forward Akor Adams could return to action before the season concludes, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Adams suffered a thigh injury last weekend during a match against Atletico Madrid, and club doctors initially indicated that he would be sidelined for the remainder of the season.

However, Pimienta offered some optimism on Friday, stating that Adams' recovery progress will determine whether he can make a comeback before the season ends.

"I feel really bad for Adams. It seems like he will be out for several weeks, but we’ll see if he can return in time for the end of the season," Pimienta said.

"It all depends on how he progresses. The worst thing that can happen to a player is an injury because they can’t contribute to the team."

Adams joined Sevilla in January during the winter transfer window.
