The new Spanish La Liga season commenced on Thursday and it was Nigerian International Christanstus Uche that became the hero of the game, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The Nigerian youngster joined the Spanish side this summer and has started making an instant impact in the team. Getafe played away to Athletic Bilbao in the league opener and earned a 1-1 draw. Oihan Sancet put the host ahead in the 27th minute of the game and it was Uche who leveled the game in the 64th minute as the game ended in a draw.
