La Liga 2: Omeruo Resumes Preseason With CD Leganes

Ahead of the 2022/2023 La Liga 2 season, Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has resumed pre-season with his club CD Leganes, BSNsports.com.ng understand

The club missed the promotion ticket by mere whisker last season losing out to UD Almeria and Real Valladolid.

Despite his injury worry, the former Chelsea defender was able to contribute immensely to the progress of the club last season.

Omeruo was part of the Super Eagles team that played 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers under Jose Peseiro.

The energetic defender returned to the Butarque Sports Facility and the team have commenced readiness for the new season.

The team will play its first friendly match, at the Butarque Municipal Stadium against Getafe CF on Sunday, the squad will travel to the Murcian town of San Pedro del Pinatar to start a one-week stage in the Pinatar Arena, which includes three friendlies against Andorra FC, Nottingham Forest under-23 and Elche CF
