Ladan Bosso Gives Flying Eagles Players Two Weeks Break

By Sampson Adedeji

Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso has given the players two weeks break to sort out their passport issues, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Bosso stated this last Saturday after their training in Abuja.

"I have given them two (2) weeks break in January and I have also given those without passports, two (2) weeks to go and get them and come back after which, if they failed to get their passport it means they cannot be here.

"For me, it's a work in progress, I said it even before we resumed that top fit players will be invited back. As you can see this (Saturday) morning I dropped about 15 players, some of them came with an injury and you can't join a national team with an injury," he said in a chat after his team's practice session in Abuja.

"Before we commence camping, I have arranged for friendly matches, forget the team and calibre of players they are playing against, the most important thing is that we are preparing for a tournament and is about matches. I have been picking one or two players from the teams we've played against and they are to join the team by Monday.

"I have sat down with the new Nigeria Football Federation President Ibrahim Gusau and I realized that he has something good for Nigeria. I thanked him for allowing us to commence our camping.

"We will continue our elimination by substitution and we planned to go on holiday by the 22nd of this month and it depends on the approval from the technical department.

"I'm not under pressure I will do my best. With the selections of players that are here, there is no iota of influence from outside," Bosso stressed.
