Lagos Set To Host 2026 National Youth Games

The Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu, has reiterated that Lagos is fully prepared to host the 10th edition of the National Youth Games in 2026, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Earlier this year, Lagos officially submitted its bid to stage the event.
As part of the evaluation process, senior officials of the Lagos State Sports Commission, alongside delegates from the National Sports Commission, embarked on a two-day inspection tour of the state’s sporting facilities.
The inspection kicked off at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, before moving to the National Stadium.
Other venues assessed included the newly upgraded Elegbata Sports Complex, the historic Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, the Cricket Oval at Tafawa Balewa Square, Rowe Park Sports Centre in Yaba, the University of Lagos Sports Complex, CMS Grammar School in Bariga, and Agege Stadium.
Meanwhile, Delta State is set to host the 9th edition of the National Youth Games from August 26 to September 6, 2025.
