Late Christian 'Chairman' Chukwu To Begin Final Journey 10th August

The Enugu State government and the family of Late Christian 'Chairman' Chukwu have announced the commencement of the final burial ceremonies of the Ex-International, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

This was signed by the Enugu State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon Barr Lloyd Ekweremadu, and Engr. Emeka Chukwu for the Family.

The burial ceremony will begin on 10th August 2025 with a Service of Songs at St Andrew Anglican Church, Transekuku at 3pm-5pm, while on the 13th August 2025, Night of Tributes at ICC Enugu at 4pm-8pm.

There would be a Colloquium on 14th August 2025 at Enugu Sports Club and a novelty match at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu on 15th August 2025 at 4pm Prompt and followed by a Christian Wake-keep at his country home, Obe, Nkanu West LGA at 9pm Prompt.

Meanwhile, the lying-in-State/Burial Ceremony will be held at his country home, Obe, Nkanu West LGA, at 9am on 16th August 2025 and a Thanksgiving Service at St. Philips Anglican Church, Obe, Nkanu West LGA, at 9am the following day.
