Wilfred Ndidi will return to action in time for the new Premier League season, according to a medical expert, BSNSports.com.ng gathered.
Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers had informed that Ndidi sprained his ankle in a recent training session, but the Nigerian midfielder is now touted to return from the injury in time for the Foxes first game of the 2022-23 campaign.
Ndidi, 25, who recently returned to training after he missed the last three months of 2021-22 with an MCL injury, will be back before the new season begins in August.
The defensive midfielder missed the final 16 games of the season in all competitions after undergoing surgery on the medial ligament in his knee
He has been working on his recovery over the summer and returned to take part in pre-season.
He has however suffered a setback after twisting his ankle during City’s training camp in Evian.
“Wilf’s twisted his ankle in training a few days ago. We don’t think it’s too serious,†manager Brendan Rodgers told LCFC TV.
“It’s a high ankle sprain, so he had a scan on it and it’ll hopefully be okay.â€
