Leece Starlet Onyemaechi Receives Nigeria Call-Up For U-20 World Cup

Flying Eagles head coach Aliyu Zubairu has named Leece’s new signing, Divine Onyemaechi, in his squad for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 18-year-old winger recently swapped England’s West Bromwich Albion for the Italian Serie A side and will link up with the Nigerian U-20 camp in Abuja next week.

Onyemaechi was a standout performer for West Brom’s U-18 team last season, netting 11 goals in 21 appearances.

Nigeria has been drawn in Group F alongside Colombia, Norway, and Saudi Arabia at the U-20 World Cup, which will be staged in Chile from September 27 to October 19.
