Leverkusen To Evaluate Boniface Loan Situation

Ibrahim Lateef

Bayer Leverkusen is considering terminating Victor Boniface's loan deal with Werder Bremen in January, following a challenging spell for the Nigerian striker, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

As reported by Sports.de, neither Boniface nor his fellow striker Keke Topp has scored any goals this season, which has led to growing disappointment regarding Boniface's performance.

Despite the initial excitement surrounding his loan move last summer, Boniface has struggled to find his best form.

He showed signs of being noticeably unmotivated when he came on as a substitute against 1. FC Köln, prompting criticism and speculation within Bremen.

Rumours are circulating that Leverkusen may opt to end the loan prematurely during the winter break, with plans to sell the striker, who has faced challenges in adapting to his new environment.
