List Of Qualified Teams For 2022 CAF Women Champions League Regional Qualifiers

26 clubs across the continent have been confirmed to take part in the CAF Women’s Champions league Zonal Qualifiers 2022, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The host countries of the regional qualifiers of the 2022 Total CAF Women Champions League have also been revealed as the journey to the second edition is expected to kick off next month.

The first regional qualifiers will begin on the 30th of July 2022 to the 10th of August 2022 in Arusha, Tanzania.

The CAF Women champions league started in 2021 and is an annual international women’s association football club competition in Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football, involving the continent’s top women’s club teams. It is the female counterpart of the CAF Champions League.

The format will see the champions of each of the six CAF zones play for a spot in the competition. They are joined by the hosts and an extra team from the zone of the defending/reigning/current Champions.

Morocco, Tanzania, Liberia, Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon and South Africa have been confirmed as the host countries of the regional qualifiers.

Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa are defending champions after winning the first edition in Egypt.
