Nigeria's Super Eagles attacker Ademola Lookman has opened up on his career turning point, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Lookman was part of England's Junior Three Lions, who lifted the U20 FIFA World Cup in South Korea.

Despite being one of the outstanding players in the team and competition, Lookman decided to switch allegiance to Nigeria.

Since joining Super Eagles, the former Fulham player has been regular in the team.

He recognized playing for the Super Eagles as the turning point in his career.

“It was massive for me because that was a big turning point in my career. Ever since I’ve put on the Super Eagles jersey, it has been fruitful,” he told Sporty TV.

“We have been able to achieve together as a team and we are still growing as a team. The togetherness of the team is very special within the squad.

“We showed that in the last AFCON; we got to the final, but unfortunately, we came up a bit short.”

Lookman has scored 8 goals in 28 appearances for Nigeria.
