Super Eagles striker Ademola Lookman on Thursday scored a brace to open his pre-season goal account, helping Atlético Madrid to secure a comfortable victory against Getafe in a friendly match held behind closed doors at the Cerro del Espino training ground in Majadahonda, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
The Nigerian scored twice for Simeone's side, with Arnau Ortiz adding another, while Obed Vargas netted his goal for his club's fourth, while Álvaro Gutiérrez pulled one back for Getafe.
Lookman needed five minutes to hammer home the shot that hit Mendoza's post. The 1-0 lead against David Soria reflected his second goal, making it 2-0, came just after the half-hour mark.
The cross from Carlos Martín on the right wing was perfect. Getafe responded through Álvaro Gutiérrez for 2-1.
Ortiz, the top scorer for the reserve team and across both groups of the Primera RFEF last season with 23 goals, burst onto the scene with his speed and dribbling skills to score Atlético's third goal.
The fourth goal, in the 90th minute, came from Obed Vargas, from a penalty he himself had won.
