French Ligue One Lyon has lined up Two loan options for Super Eagles ace Gift Orban, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
The 22-year-old recruited last winter transfer window from Gent for 14 million euros, had a lot of trouble establishing himself, losing confidence in himself very quickly.
With Alexandre Lacazette staying at Lyon this season, the confirmed purchase of Mama Baldé and the arrival of Georges Mikautadze, there is hardly any room left for Gift Orban.
Journalist Olivier Salmon announced that Lyon management wants to get rid of Gift Orban on loan, or even permanently, while losing as little money as possible.
Two exotic options are open to the Lyon flop. The French Ligue One side could be tempted to loan him to Botafogo in Brazil, a destination that very rarely makes European and African footballers dream before they are thirty.
There is also the option of Colorado Rapids in Major League Soccer, with which John Textor is negotiating the transfer of Canadian defender Moïse Bombito .
The latter had been offered to play the next six months with Botafogo and then come to Lyon, as will be the case with Thiago Almada , but he refused.
If his arrival at OL is linked to the departure of Jake O'Brien , Moïse Bombito could be released by the Colorado Rapids if Lyon leaves him on loan.
This will be better for Gift Orban, as he is English-speaking and will be eager for an easier challenge to get back on track.
