Major League Soccer club FC Cincinnati has decided to extend the contract of Obinna Nwobodo, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Former Rangers International of Enugu player joined the American club in 2022 from the Turkish Super Lig club Goztepe.

The former Flying Eagles player has made 80 appearances and scored twice for the club since his arrival.

The club board on Tuesday morning listed Nwobodo's name among the list of players that will have contract extensions for the 2025 season.

"FC Cincinnati has exercised the contract options on Obinna Nwobodo, Miles Robinson, and Sergio Santos," the club said.

Nwobodo was part of the victorious Flying Antelope team who won the Nigeria Premier Football League trophy in 2017.
